Live retros where nobody gets lost

Teampeep runs retros, polls and quizzes. You drive from your laptop and every phone in the room moves with you. When people can’t meet, leave the session open for up to 14 days and let them answer in their own time.

Teampeep is in early access. This page covers what works today. Anything still being built is marked Coming soon on this page.

You set the pace

When you move to the next question, every phone moves with you. Nobody reloads, and nobody loses an answer they were typing.

Someone who joins late, or whose connection drops, lands on the live question with their earlier answers back.

Stay with me
Phones show only the live question. This is the default for live sessions.
Look back only
People can go back to earlier questions, but never ahead of you.
Move freely
People go at their own pace. This is the default for async sessions.

Press P to switch at any time. Questions after the live one aren’t sent to phones until you get there, so nobody can peek ahead.

Eight kinds of question

Mix them in one session, up to 50 questions. You can add, edit and reorder questions while the session runs.

Written answer

People write their answer on a card. Turn on upvotes, or up and down votes, and the room ranks the cards.

“What slowed us down this sprint?”

Single choice

People pick one of 2 to 10 options. Each option gets a bar with its count and share.

“Which day works for the offsite?”

Multiple choice

People pick every option that applies.

“Which of these slowed you down this week?”

Rating

A 1 to 5 scale, or green, amber and red. The squad health check template uses the traffic light.

“Easy to release”

Ranking

People put the options in order with Move up and Move down buttons. Nobody has to drag anything.

“Rank next quarter’s priorities”

Dot vote

Each person spreads a budget of dots across the options: 5 unless you change it, up to 20.

“Where should we spend our time?”

Word cloud

Answers of up to three words. The more people give a word, the bigger it gets, and every word shows its count.

“One word for this sprint”

Quiz

Options with a correct answer and an optional time limit. When you reveal, the big screen shows a leaderboard.

“Which year did we ship version 1?”

You decide what the room sees

Choose how answers arrive for the whole session, then change it for any question.

Shown as they arrive
Answers appear for everyone straight away.
Held for approval
Answers wait in a queue until you approve them.
Hidden until you reveal
Answers are collected but nobody sees them until you press R, so the first answers don’t steer the rest.

For any answer

Lock
Stop new answers to a question, and reopen it if you need to.
Merge duplicates
Votes combine. Someone who voted for both answers counts once.
Hide
Take an answer off every view and out of the results.
Rephrase
Edit an answer’s wording. It shows “edited by facilitator”. In anonymous sessions the original wording isn’t kept.

Made for the projector

Put the big-screen view on the projector or share it on the call. It has no controls. You drive from your own laptop.

  • Answers and vote counts appear as they come in.
  • When answers are hidden until you reveal, the screen shows only how many are in.
  • The join link and code stay on screen while the session is open.
  • Two layouts: focus shows one question, board shows several columns with the live one in the spotlight and an optional timer.

After the session

  • Results and CSV

Every session has a results page with the charts, word clouds and answers, and a CSV download that opens cleanly in a spreadsheet.

  • Themes

Tag answers with themes from your organization’s list, so “CI is slow” and “builds take forever” count as one topic. Sort answers by votes, time or theme, or put them in your own order.

  • Templates

    Start from a built-in template:

    • What went well
    • Start, stop, continue
    • Squad health check
    • Shoutouts
    • Quick poll
    • Quiz
  • Your own templates

Save any session’s questions and settings as a template for your team. Answers, themes and the join code stay behind.

Anonymous or named

Choose for each session. People see which it is before they answer, and it locks once the first answer comes in.

In an anonymous session, nobody in your organization can see who wrote what. Once the session closes, nobody can link an answer to a person, not even us. The one exception is a database backup made while the session was still open. How anonymity works

Guests join with a code and don’t need an account. In a named session, they type the name they want to use.

What we’re building next

Teampeep’s point is the loop: hear it, fix it, then ask the team whether the fix worked. These parts are next.

  • Actions

Turn an answer or a theme into an action with an owner and a due date.

  • Did it help?

When an action is done, the team votes on whether it helped, and you get a verdict.
